1940s Christmas Grotto – Autism Friendly Opening @ Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes
December 1, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
The sights, sounds and festive sensations of Christmas can be exciting but also a challenge for many children. We would love our activities to be accessible to more children and so are offering this dedicated grotto session, particularly aimed at those with autism or other sensory conditions.
We will aim to:
– adjust the lighting level to suit your child
– turn music off if preferred
– offer you the chance to discuss any particular triggers for your child with us in advance
If you wish to discuss your child’s needs with us in more detail, please email learning@bletchleypark.
Step back in time at Bletchley Park and experience a 1940s style Christmas Grotto. Father Christmas will be at home in the Library in the Mansion throughout December. Every child will receive a present and have the opportunity to enjoy festive crafts while you wait.
Tickets must be booked 24 hours in advance and time slots to visit the Grotto will be allocated on arrival at Bletchley Park.
When booking you must select a ticket that states grotto entry.
If you wish to purchase grotto tickets for children aged 12 – 17 and they currently hold a valid season ticket, please contact the Bookings team on 01908 272 673. Annual season tickets must be shown at admissions upon entry.
