Welcome to All Aboard Art Club! Running weekly in term time at The Point in Doncaster city centre, these free sessions are for children and young people with additional needs or learning disabilities and their families. We welcome anybody who feels they need a bit of extra support.
In these seven sessions, you will get creative with Emma. Each week we try to follow a similar structure, so participants know what to expect. All materials will be provided and the artist, Emma, will always ask how to adapt the activity to best suit you and your child. Everyone is welcome to try things out at their own pace and will be supported in giving things a go.
Join drama worker Emma in a rainbow of sessions! We will be thinking about rainbows and what they mean to us as we explore lots of fun activities and drama games. We will move our bodies in expressive and fun ways, take part in mindful meditation with our breath, use props and play with puppetry and each week we will add to a craft activity. Our sessions will be inclusive, fun and explorative with moments to reflect as well as immerse and explore.
The Point is an accessible building with a Changing Places (including hoist) and quiet spaces for anyone who needs a breather. If it would be useful to know more about the session before attending, please email Sophie on sophie@wearedarts.org.uk
Age range: 10 – 16, with siblings of all ages welcome.
