Morning Stars
Developed for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), our Morning Stars programme provides a calmer and more relaxed environment within our planetarium for families to learn about topics from the planets to the constellations.
The planetarium show, designed in collaboration with our local ASD visitors and their families, is presented live by one of our astronomers with a slower pace and reduced narration compared to our usual programmes.
The planetarium is also kept somewhat brighter than a normal show, ensuring it never becomes pitch black. Finally, ticket numbers are capped at a lower capacity to reduce the number of distractions that might come from other visitors.
Our show has consistently received fantastic feedback since its inception and we are always looking for new ways to improve even further.
Free entry to the Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition at the National Maritime Museum is included in your ticket. Just select the free add-on when booking your tickets.
