Relaxed Early Opening @ IWM North, Manchester

Join us for a Relaxed Early Opening of IWM North for families and individuals who require a quieter and calmer environment to experience our museum.

This free sensory friendly event provides a way to explore and enjoy IWM North before general opening hours. The event is suitable for individuals or families with members who have sensory processing differences, autistic spectrum conditions or other sensory needs.

As part of our early opening, you will be able to explore our Main Exhibition Space and have the opportunity to take part in some family friendly activities.

There will also be a quiet room for those needing to take a break and indoor eating area for anyone wishing to bring their own food.

Please note: All visitors must book a free ticket in advance. Tickets will have a suggested arrival time between 8am and 8:45am to help ensure the amount of time spent queuing to enter IWM North is minimal.

You may have to queue outside before entering. All visitors will receive an email one week prior to the event with more information and a visual story to help you fully plan your visit. IWM North will open to the general public at 10am.
